Join Affiliate ABCs hosts Vinny O’Hare and Deborah Carney and guest Jeannine Crooks as they discuss the Affiliate Meetups that have been created by the Affiliate Summit founders Shawn Collins and Missy Ward. These are local events happening once a month, usually on the last Tuesday of the month in cities across not just the US but around the globe. They started them on the MeetUp.com platform, but with the number of Meetups planned and the planners involved the Meetup organizing, RSVPs and Announcements are going to be made on the Affiliate Summit Facebook Group page.

Denver Meetup had a mix of affiliates, merchants, network reps and more.
NYC Meetup: Mix of affiliates, merchants, network reps, webmasters that are looking at affiliate marketing to help get traffic to their sites. Jeff Grill gave a great presentation about how he got his affiliate program started, which will be launching June 1, 2011. Jeff attended Affiliate Summit West and was able to talk to people that changed his mind and helped his process. After Jeff’s presentation we ended up doing site reviews for SEO.
Go to http://forum.affiliatesummit.com to have conversations and find people in your area.
Local networking in small groups is a very powerful way to network. Then when you go to the larger events you will be able to talk to people you already know and be able to expand your networking by meeting the other people they know as well.
